Tadoussac
-discovering the charms of a small village-
Tadoussac is known worldwide for being one of the best sites for whale watching cruises. It is common to come across two or three species of these marine mammals, and sometimes even more, in a single outing of two or three hours. Embark on an excursion boat to observe these giants of the seas and live a memorable experience.
A dozen species of whales frequent the lower estuary of the St. Lawrence. Some are rather abundant, others are in danger and can only be observed at a distance of 400 m. Among them, the rorquals (minke whales, humpback whales, fin whales and blue whales) come to feed here during the summer season, from May to the end of October. The beluga is the only species to live year-round in the St. Lawrence.
